Human Resources Generalist and Office Manager

Job Summary:  The Human Resources Generalist will provide expertise in a wide range of HR programs in order to support our strategic plan and support our business partners.  The successful candidate will lead the HR function in our Woodstock office and may support other branches as required.  Duties consist of full cycle recruiting, coordinating the performance management and compensation processes, implementing policies and procedures, leading health and safety and coordinating training and development.  This individual will lead employee relations including communication requirements, regulatory compliance and coordination of other HR programs.  He/she will manage the branch facilities services including supervision of reception and mailroom and overall building maintenance.


  • University/college degree preferred or related experience
  • CHRP or willingness to achieve
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Previous training experience
  • Strong communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in a broad range of HR functions required
  • Excellent computer skills, especially MS office
  • Strong organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, multi-task, be flexible, and move from one priority to another while maintaining a high level of accuracy and strict attention to detail
  • Previous experience in dealing with vendors for efficient running of an office environment
  • Previous experience working with highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Successful background checks that may include, credential, employment, credit, criminal, Gov’t of Canada Security Clearances, and reference checks.
