Job Summary:

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving business and
contributing to the profitable strategic growth of our Corporate Insurance products within
Western Canada. This individual will contribute to the overall profitability of the line, developing
customer relationships and ensuring satisfaction through operational excellence. He/she will be
responsible for the development of new business and retention of existing accounts within
underwriting guidelines and authorities. This individual will also be responsible for crossmarketing,
business development and working effectively with our Corporate Insurance team,
and self-motivated towards continuous education and personal growth.

Duties

- Underwrite commercial risks for Directors and Officers Liability, Crime, Fiduciary and other
  product lines in the Corporate Insurance Department
- Analyze moderate to complex requests for quotes, renewals and policy changes, and recommend
  innovative solutions
- Support brokers regarding underwriting and rating policies.
- Successfully bind and retain new business and renewals
- Participate in broker visits, insurance industry functions and marketing events
- Provide technical advice, mentoring and coaching to team members
- Travel the Western region (BC, AB, SK) when required.
- Work well independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications:

 Minimum 3 years related experience preferred.
 University degree, college diploma (preference for business concentrations), or equivalent
    experience.
 Attention to detail is essential.
 Ability to review, understand, and analyze financial statements
 Ability to and comfort level engaging with new people
 Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
 Very strong analytical and customer service skills
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
 CIP, RPLU, CRM, CFA or working towards these would be an asset.
 Ability to multitask and assess workflow priority.
 Strong negotiating skills and business savvy
 Ability to work well independently and as a team
